Music Festival Sponsored by Wondergrove Cannabis
If you came here to learn about the best cannabis event near Kansas City on 4/20, you’ve reached the right spot. We’re talking about the Smokey River 420 Fest - a one-day cannabis infused musical festival featuring performances by the platinum selling, GRAMMY nominated artist, Wiz Khalifa as well as Joey Bada$$, Berner, Smoke DZA, and Chevy Woods.
This first-of-its-kind music festival in Missouri takes place on 4/20, of course - and will feature a Cannabis Village where attendees, 21 years of age and older, can enjoy their weed.
Enjoy the Wondergrove Vibe at 420 Fest
This is where you’ll find Wondergrove’s chill smoking area. Although Wondergrove will not be selling its premium cannabis flower and concentrates at the event, festival attendees will be allowed to bring their own herb.
Everything else you’ll need to enjoy your bud onsite will be available in the Wondergrove smoking area - including comfy seats, lighters, ashtrays, cones, and rolling trays. In addition to that, it will also feature the Wondergrove Experience booth with two immersive experiences:
- Get on Board with Field Trip - It’s Not the Destination, It’s the Journey
Come as you are and explore the bliss and freedom that’s possible when you take the time to enjoy the journey. Snap a Polaroid® picture with your buds and stick it on our cork board. Share it on instagram and tag us @fieldtripflower. - Step into the Professor's Lab - Sugar, Sauce, and Everything Raw
Take a look inside the Professor’s lab and mind (if you dare) to find out how he makes that potent and tasty sauce that’s dripping in terpenes. Take a look around his lab for clues on how to get on the Professor’s VIP list.
Although we’d love to provide festival attendees with our kind bud and potent concentrates, festival rules won’t allow it. But there’s nothing stopping you from bringing your own. Actually, it’s encouraged.
If you plan on attending 420 Fest, keep in mind that the consumption of marijuana is only allowed within the Cannabis Village. You must be 21 years of age or older to enter the Cannabis Village. Alcohol will be available at 420 Fest, but the consumption of alcohol will not be allowed in designated cannabis consumption areas.

420 Friendly Music and Entertainment Venue in Missouri
420 fest will take place just east of Kansas City - on land that organizers plan on turning into the Smokey River Entertainment District - a first-of-its-kind venue that allows visitors to enjoy their weed in designated cannabis consumption areas.
Located in River Bend, Missouri, the Smokey River Entertainment District aims to normalize cannabis consumption in everyday life. In addition to designated cannabis consumption lounges, it will also feature wedding venues, an amphitheater, clubs, a music hall, restaurants, and more once it’s built out.
According to developers of the Smokey River Entertainment District, the goal is to make it one of the first places in the Kansas City area where cannabis can be part of a normal night out for Missouri residents.1
420 Fest’s Music Lineup
- Whiz Khalifa - Multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY and Golden Globe nominated artist
- Joey Bada$$ - BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Award-winning rapper, singer, actor, and founding member of the hip-hop collective Pro Era
- Berner - Billboard chart topping rapper - creator of the Cookies Cannabis brand
- Chevy Woods - rapper, songwriter, and Taylor Gang recording artist
- Smoke DZA - rapper, songwriter, and Founder of Smokers Club Records
In addition to different cannabis brands, 420 Fest will also feature food and beverage vendors. The party kicks off at 3:00 and the show starts at 6:00 PM. 420 Fest will have a 10,000-person capacity and will take place at the future site of The Smokey River Entertainment District - off Route 291 in River Bend, Missouri.
Why 420 Fest Isn’t Just Another Cannabis Event Near Kansas City
A celebration like 420 Fest would not have been possible last year. It’s only because of the recent legalization of adult-use recreational cannabis in Missouri that we can enjoy our weed at a music festival - without the fear of legal trouble.
Sure, people have enjoyed sneaking a joint into a concert or musical festival for decades, but now you can do so without fear of repercussions. Wondergrove will even provide the supplies you’ll need to do so at the festival. That’s why the Smokey River 420 Fest is such a special event. Not only does it embrace and celebrate all that’s good about cannabis, but it’s also being held at the site of a future venue that aims to normalize the use of marijuana in everyday life.
420 Fest will mark the beginning of a new era where Missouri residents are free to enjoy their cannabis as they take in some good tunes and great vibes with friends and family.

Still on the Fence about Joining Wondergrove at 420 Fest?
420 Fest is not the first time we've sponsored a cannabis-infused music event. Bloom and Wondergrove recently co-sponsored a rec launch party with Weedmaps that celebrated the end of cannabis prohibition in Missouri.
Wondergrove Event Featured Premium Bud and Classic Hip-Hop
The guest list included local media, cannabis industry professionals, and social media influencers who were all treated to one of the best old-school hip-hop performances Missouri has recently seen.
The event was held at Off Broadway, St. Louis’ longest running independent venue and featured a performance by hip hop supergroup, Czarface - with Inspectah Deck from the Wu-Tang Clan.
